LOCAL: Our local art council plans for a project that brings natural elements into unused spaces. If we have a 5-point intersection nearby, chances are a couple of the points between the converging roads are undeveloped. Roundabouts are usually developed spaces. People like to plant stuff that resembles a home & gardens spread, invasives, odd florid assemblages.
Edible gardens, a field of wildflowers, printed colorful panels for selfie backdrops. Funding has disappeared, so we are basically looking at growing food to survive. Also, we would like to install things that local knuckleheads cannot drive over and destroy with ATVs in a heartbeat come spring thaw. The struggle is real.
