LOCAL: I worked on an oil painting, ran out of black paint, noticed the price of a new tube rose 33% at my local vendor since my last purchase in 2023.

I see drone tech being adopted elsewhere, but not here in Fayette county. I have a cheap plan, experience, and a desire to complete a training module county employees need. If I ask anyone to fly a drone, people freak out and refuse, in theory. On the other hand, if I show them how and hand them the controls, if they are there with me, they feel comfortable.

If they see me easily controlling a drone, they feel they can do it. One cannot get that sentiment through a Zoom call. You need to explore your own spatial awareness with a hands-on class and a practiced professional. That can be a significant event – the sensation of hovering in the sky is strange and wonderful, so I am trying to give people literally a different way to perceive their local environment.

I deleted two extraneous copies of my thesis online. The one I kept had a corrected citation.

New heights: Pottsville Area to launch drone program for students. Makes sense.

Pennsylvania man pleads guilty to role in attempting to get contraband into FCI McDowell with a drone. He faces prison time and a maximum $250K fine. Thumbs down.

Harrisburg applauds first responders for quickly locating missing autistic boy Another regional example of drones put to good use. Thumbs up.

My local school district has decided to lock-up the kids’ phones. That’s the only way I’d ever teach anywhere. Also, put your phones away at the music concerts. The musicians want to see your expressions, not the machine elves stealing your soul and whatnot.

I gave away a mountain bike my kid outgrew. You should have seen the look on that kid’s face at the playground. He said thank you. His parents were totally freaked out. My wife just shaking her head in disbelief. My audacious generosity stuns local people.

NEWS: DJI sues the DoD for access to federal contracts. Drones strike deep in Russia and Ukraine while old alliances disintegrate. Drones for me and not for thee: Advances in drone simulation bring mission training to quadcopters – Breaking Defense. But not for civilians. Basically, citizens are not in the market. Basically, everyone is almost broke.

Operating at a loss because of a dearth of subsidies. Draganfly highlights 76% Q4 revenue growth with focus on military and medical drone applications (NASDAQ:DPRO) | Seeking Alpha. That’s rough.

Supply-side economics calls for: Crashing the economy, driving down interest rates to unleash a Kraken of unscrupulous lenders and shorts, borrowing heavily and buying the dip, selling out when the next administration repairs markets and alliances. Rinse cash and repeat. When able, hide all assets offshore in crypto. Then lose crypto in heists no one knows how to investigate. Shoulder shrug emoji.

Drone attempts to abscond with lightweight batboy. Athletics bat boy Stewart Thalblum takes down drone in left field.

DRONE: No flights this weekend due to high winds, dragons, and square rain.

SCIENCE: World’s smallest battery-free flying robot uses magnets for power. Okay, but do you lift?

ART:

I am working on a twilight landscape. Why am I painting instead of making electronic gadgets? It’s much cheaper to paint, and there is a local need for the skill. About 20% of this county graduated college. People want to sit around and watch TV, to spectate.

I spotted a fake Margaret Keane “sad-eyed girl” painting in a thrift store Masontown, PA.
