LOCAL: Celebrated Memorial Day with fam. Had perfect weather. I worked on a voxel environment and completed a crude animation. I was able to fiddle around with most of the Magica Voxel effects. My next step is to layer a series of animations and rotate a 3D shape that assembles midair after staggering the launch of all the drones.
Local eats: The Outflow Soft Freeze in Confluence, PA. This place has expanded and remodeled. I had a crabby clucker wedgie. It was awesome. The place now has indoor seating and out. Maybe a capacity of 75 people, next to an RV park and the Youghiogheny River Dam and rec area. The short road to the rec beach and boat launch is just next door, across the top of the dam. Coming back here in two weeks for a monumental hike to Sugarloaf Knob summit through the gorge. I will hump my bike a couple of miles up through 1200+ feet of elevation gain.

DRONE NEWS: Russia and Ukraine hogging it up. DJI Mavic 4s on sale somewhere involving trucks and stuff falling off of them. The DJI Avata 2 is basically 25% more expensive now than they were three months ago. Weird. Usually, the price goes down on tech due to obsolescence.
SCIENCE: There is a Starship launch imminent. Mechazilla, chopsticks, refueling in orbit, egress to Mars, all that.
“The path that you planned for may not be the path you end up choosing. But that planning enabled you to be who you are now and to make different choices,” she said. “I did not anticipate working in simulations when I started my aerospace engineering degree, but I took the opportunity when it was presented, and I am so happy that I did.”

ART: I am about to work on three new paintings. I lose time working on these, though. Fiddling with all the environmental controls for the voxels. I am doing a 16″x20″ landscape for technical reasons, and then a couple of 12″x12″ cat paintings with any leftover paint as a starting point.
