LOCAL: It rained last week, and the wind was strong all weekend. I flew yesterday in Brownsville and practiced some telephoto shots, but the birds were after my drone and dove it a couple of times. I took about ten minutes of video. So far, zero drone work this year. I have spent all my free time outdoors. That included a trip to Kennywood amusement park with the fam. Yardwork and bike rides on the GAP trail.

I might post some photos and recent Midjourney stuff.

DRONE NEWS: Russia and Ukraine hogging it up. Operation Spider’s Web – Wikipedia Basically wiping out a third of the Russian bomber fleet. This is a big deal. Using drones AND trucks parked close to bases deep in Russia. I saw footage of bombers on fire. Asymmetric warfare at its finest, except in the case where the SIberian unit blew up before deployment.

ART: My money is on the existence of an art festival near you this weekend. It is warm, but not real hot yet. Kids are out of school or almost there. People are ready for a summer trip, and an art festival is a local chance to explore unknowns, at least conceptually if not terrestrially.
