1–2 minutes

LOCAL: My car had an engine malfunction in the mountains, so it’s going in the shop today. My son broke a sofa, and I fixed it. The King is in the Castle. Housekeeping: New colors, new adds on the painting and photography pages. Ditched the wedding page.

Biked in Masontown on the Brown Run trail or another. It’s basically downhill for a couple of miles. I can coast almost the entire way. Much of the trail is extremely flat and smooth. A well-maintained trail follows creeks down to the river. There is even a playground along the way. The return is a workout.

DRONE: I flew the Avata 2 a few times. I was getting harassed by a bird in a large recreational area in Whitsett, so I chased it back. I am preferring the trigger that came with the “Fly More” combo more and more. I keep an ND 16 filter on the drone all the time. I want to use it to film on sunny dry hot days with no wind to get a gritty retro feel like in the banner image, but I don’t really use the drone for anything other than entertaining flight paths.

SCIENCE: I have been using a dust buster on windowsills and under staircases. I’m seriously nothing but a troglodyte this week. I reattached my son’s bell to his bicycle because someone mounted it backwards.

Ebola again. Why not? Check out the WHO. Ebola disease. Last I heard, they hope to have it under control…in six months.

Art: I put 14 hours into a painting. I basically spent my free time on this painting and practicing with my new drone.
