LOCAL: Looking at apprenticeship opportunities. My son is going into a trade. People are trying to AI-proof their future. He is looking at debt to earnings ratios and probabilities of occupational resilience to AI. He believes AI will replace the professional service economy. So, I try to shop local, think global and all that.
I painted last week. Alot. I photographed the paintings in my backyard in overcast and rainy morning light, and in the clear afternoon light the next day. They were still wet, so the specular lighting was twerking my already low contrast compositions, as in the way of my people. I digitally altered the exposure of the first images and got the same effect as the sunny albeit curved photos, I had to feed the images to Darktable to remove lens curvature, then crop the images to fit the aspect ratio of the mural installation pieces. I converted images to TIFs from RAWs and sent them on their way with notes. The effects of deep-breathing oil paint turpentine for two weeks had rendered me clairvoyant, and I could see a weekend on a bucket lift installing a mural in my future.

DRONE: I am shopping for a drone.

SCIENCE: RFK got that shirtlessology Nobel on lock. Diet Coke cures sanity. [calliope music]
Art: Well, go make something yourself. I am not posting my recent stuff yet. I am in the business they call ‘show’ this month.
