LOCAL: Working on mural installations this week. That’s not a misprint; I’m engaged in the same behavior. My MO is goofing with 2x4s and searching for local Reuben sandwiches. Spending time with fam as much as possible. My oldest son graduates high school in a couple of weeks. Riding bikes with fam when able.
I will get publicity for hanging murals of my paintings in Brownsville, and hopefully this buzz will translate into a chance to paint some commissions, get out of my own head and grow as a person through collaborative work.

My day job is entirely unrelated to anything I write about or do here. I am synthesizing whatever opportunity I can find in the golden hours. I do things, in the Taoist sense. I’m guessing some of these things could even be legal, and I can forgive myself this indiscretion from time to time. Otherwise, I am daydreaming of vaguely human civilizations without illness, division, and strife. I seek perfect Reuben sandwiches, and side hustles, amen. Existence is preposterous.

DRONE: I am waiting on a controller to arrive in a few days. I flew my longest distance,2,770 feet, with my Mavic 3 Pro. From Arch Street to the old ice plant, a distance of over a half mile, no lag in transmission, gliding at 125-275 feet up alongside some railroad tracks. I wanted to find a perfectly straight one-mile road, preferably flat. This was close enough. Still no drone work – going on nearly two years without paid work. That will change.
UNOS partners with NASA to study transporting organs by drone | UNOS UNOS has a few dozen service nodes in the country. I published research on this in 2018, so this is exciting new to me. UNOS is a premiere organ transplant network.

Art: Painted something weird with leftover paint, for therapy. I’m out of canvas. Listening to Show Me the Body, Walter Wanderley, and OPN often.
