LOCAL: My car engine apparently blew up last week, but I have it under warranty. Fingers crossed I get a rental today. I have been without a car for a week. We have been house-hunting in earnest, and we put in an offer for a house about twenty minutes from here. It looks all but decided that I will be moving from this town in a couple of months. I have lived here, in Brownsville, longer than I have ever lived anywhere else. So, house and home are in flux, and that eats time.
