LOCAL: I fiddled with the website a bit. Going on week three without a car. The routines I favor are wiped out. I am trying to put together a presentation on a mural installation, close on a house, manage to keep a job with my car in the shop over two weeks now waiting on parts. My life is Esquivel’s “Mucha Muchacha”. Very lively and coming at me with ping-pong panning. The fridge broke during the heatwave. A week of surmountable and predictable challenges took me out of the studio. I touch base with a PR group. Musical accompaniment:

Meadow in heatwave

I had a lead on a drone job, but it was a no-go. Client wanted me to overfly someone else’s commercial property they had mining rights on, sketchy. I never even launched it. I had brought the Mavic and the Avata 2 to explore a really grody industrial site, but the road leading to the property is within a gated property. No puedo, viejo. Ja Ja Ja!

SCIENCE: My fridge broke. Food went bad. Entropy grows, just like the number of documents not released by the DOJ.

Art: I am completely locked up with the move imminent. After many sleepless nights I completed a finishing session on the painting. I spent days mulling how to affect the painting with the lightest touch possible. I made the foreground warmer, slightly textured, rounded the contour of the ascending roadway ever so slightly, added some warmth and depth of values to the shady side of the grove right.
