2–3 minutes

LOCAL: I spent the week packing. Our family is moving a few miles away to a different town. My 13-year-old is going to miss his friends at school. He has no friends in the neighborhood. He never has guests over. He is never invited elsewhere. His new school district is a “top 20%” performer. His old school is a “lower 50%” performer. The difference, really, seems to be reading scores.

I have been suffering from explosive diarrhea and fascism all week. The WHCD showed me the superposition is achievable. U N L E A S H E D ! Where are the missing billions? How will any of this end well? Why isn’t anyone from the Epstein Files in jail? The Republican party will not secede power before destroying the country to enrich a few hundred assholes, some of whom are exclusively affluent and vulnerable pedophiles, and their handlers, their protectors like Trump. It’s the small army of handlers. Short-eye-having weasels. The blackmail industry never had it so good.

We have a Dumbwave building. Ubiquitous performative telepresence measured in views and biased review devoid of critical information is the new auto-da-fe. Deliver us the flagellations which have been promised. We are being hollowed out and turned into flat surfaces, undreaming, unawake.

My car is still in the shop after seven weeks. Our summer has been ruined by this [rimshot].

DRONE: I flew for a third-party group that offered me a terrible rate to overfly densely a populated shopping district. The client somehow was not happy with the results. Neither was I. You get what you pay for. I formally ended my association with the unnamed drone group. The last dozen interactions with them have produced zero income, and the last job was an insult to me as a pilot. They provided me with no point-of-contact for the last job. I consider that an essential ingredient for a successful pilot experience. They “lost my payment link” and my invoice.

Local program offers young girls a chance to learn how to fly drones and get certified. FLAG looks cool. It’s true, the aviation industry should have more women. It is well-documented that the overwhelming majority of pilots are men. Drones are seen as a way to build pilots because they provide consumers with hands-on flight experience. Low-cost, easy access to vehicles and UAS that work intuitively allow for same-day pilots to complete tasks under the supervision of certified pilots and drone operators. People usually crash their first drone and give up. Fall down six, get up seven. Get to seven. When you get to seven, you got 99 problems, but a six aint one. Hit me!

SCIENCE: A very deep read for the week. Cyclic ladder operators and hidden Weyl-Heisenberg structure in a Floquet system.

apologies for audio quality

Art: I finished this picture, more or less.

“Gestures”, finished, oil on canvas, 20″x24″, 2026
