LOCAL: I am no longer local. I am moving this week to a different town, different county. Goodbye historic Brownsville, Pennsylvania, it’s been an interesting 142 months. My 13-year-old son is anxious to make some new friends at a new school. My heart is in his hands. I hope things work out for him.
DRONE: I flew at a field full of garbage, then Brownsville at sunset.
SCIENCE: While this nation abandons the idea of ethics and stewardship towards the greater good of life on Earth, while that happens, I lose interest in returning the means of production to the few at the expense of the many. I demand better leadership.
Craven tool bags and toadies of unseen forces of globalized greed. We gave Oz an Iron Curtain. On the yellowcake road in Hell.
Sixteen words, mama, braid your hair.
The suffering of the multitude is a proof of power. It’s just not a good one. One must suffer so that a few jagoffs get to live without consequences. Or not. We could try that. Number go all the way up or down, who cares. We did this through apathy. As Bukowski wrote, “We are eat up by nothing.” We have intemperate capitalism, Adam Smith replaced with Milton Friedman.
They depended on a lot of good people to do nothing, to sit on their hands while they burned people in ovens. They burned people in ovens night and day while people went to the bakery, washed their clothes. It went along smoothly until they met the Yanks. We sent our ancestors off to die for people lying around today on their phones looking at pictures of cats and hamburgers. We buried our dead and honored our fallen by capitulating to a globalized investment class who play with their money and pray their bunkers become useful. We are choked by supply side economics. Socioeconomic rigidity is approaching rigor mortis levels. Half the country is paycheck-to-paycheck, subordinate to the fears overruling their character. Fear of loss of capital. At least in the Guilded Age they built cool stuff. We escape through lying and cheating the limits of our resources for how long? I am old enough to have seen concentration camp tattoos on the arms of loved ones.
Art: I have packed up my studio and hope to paint sometime in the middle of next week.
